Listen. We know that Cinco de Mayo is an Americanized holiday that people in Mexico don't even really celebrate. But here's the thing: We love any excuse to drink Margaritas and eat tacos. Sue us! (Plz don't actually sue us.) Anyway, since everyone knows it's best to avoid Mexican restaurants on May 5—unless you enjoy the antics of drunk 20-somethings in sombreros—we're rounding up some of the best Mexican food at the grocery store, from taquitos to tortilla chips.

Cinco de Mayo aside, we've been hard at work finding the best stuff at the grocery store. Love polenta? We found the best cornmeal if you're making it from scratch. We also found the best tasting mango juice and the best Sprite flavor—weirdly enough, Sprite isn't the best Sprite. Wild, right?

- Gwynedd Stuart, Managing Editor

"Okay, this isn't the most traditional pick, but if you love chain restaurant Southwestern eggrolls, you have to try these El Monterey frozen taquitos."

- Gwynedd

"Ever notice that store bought guacamole kind of...sucks? Well, we are here to spread the gospel of avocado salsa. It's creamy and avocado-y without being stringy or tasting like weird preservatives. Give it a shot."

"If you're tired of canned Margaritas that simply do not taste like tequila, well, we found the Marg for you. Small can, big flavor—and it isn't fizzy!"

- Justine Sterling, Editor-In-Chief

"The best tortilla chips are sturdy without being rigid, and crispy without being crumbly. On the Border Café Style tortilla chips strike that perfect balance, plus they taste nice and fresh, too."
